My backyard spigots all froze solid with consistent temperatures < -20 degrees.  Not sure where there actual freeze is, it is possibly within the pipe itself. We have frostfree silcock taps but it…Continue

"Cold water will freezes faster the hot so in very cold weather it doesn't spread fast enough. Hot water has more time to spread out before freezing  So very cold use hot warmest use cold water. I use a homemade T with a towel and…"

Frozen spigot/pipes

My backyard spigots all froze solid with consistent temperatures < -20 degrees.  Not sure where there actual freeze is, it is possibly within the pipe itself. We have frostfree silcock taps but it is dropping to under -30 at night.  Haven't been able to resurface in couple of weeks and the rink is showing it.Anyone try anything to salvage, heated housing etc.I have tried pouring boiling water, heated tape without success.See More
