"Can’t speak to bubble ice but as far as flooding goes, really anything below -3/4C  i don’t use warm water at all ever and my rink does just fine without it Some people can’t live with out warm water floods, preference really…"

Hello!  This is my first post.  I’m a father of four (6, 4, 2 and 6months). The 6yo is in hockey for two years now and our 4yo is just getting going on skates.  The 2yo has Skate-eez and walks around a little.  We live on a lake and this is my first year making a rink out there.  So far I have a 50 x 50 foot area shoveled off and there’s pretty good ice.  I’ve flooded it twice.  This whole flooding thing is new for me.  I have gas powered pump with a 1” intake and an adapter for a garden hose…See More
