"Steve Don't give up the Kids are on it so it all good Use a mist setting on the hose will add layers without having to wait. just Clean will first and any bump will also build up a layer"

Daniel robitaille replied to Steve's discussion Possible big issue...water drained
"Low pressure but want to add layers use a garden sprayer set on mist. this will create freezing rain and  will build a layer where ever it lands BUT  move the hose every 1/2 hour or you will build up a single area."

"Tuck Tape the stuff they use in house building to hold the wrap (also call sheathing tape) I use it and can't get the stuff off after the season. BUT NOTE it will not stick to WET but dry you can't get the stuff off."

Daniel robitaille replied to Alan MacPherson's discussion End Boards liner solution
"I use 1X 1/2 boards to hold the liner on the end then cut off neat Real I would just run it up an over the board  and tack in place Once the ice is in, put down some 6-inch white kick plates  and cut the liner along the top "

Thanks Daniel!  Glad to be here!  I'm on my third year with this rink.  It's 20x40...this year we added lights and enjoyed our first "night game" last week!  I'll definitely get some pictures posted.

Thank you for the welcome. This is my 2nd successful rink. I started in 2012-2013, but missed the window last year. My first rink was 12x24, and this year I went just a tad wider at 16x24. My available space is limited, but the rink is enough for family and friends to enjoy. A lot of my ideas came from this site and its nice to be able to share. Thanx again for the welcome !!

My rink is very small... like 16 feet by 29 feet...  however, my son learned to ice skate on it at 4 years old just last week.  So, I have the fever to build a much bigger one, but I am out of room.  What I have is great for now.  Thanks for the welcome.
