"Thank so . One more thing my rink seemed to turn to slush from an over night snow fall. Do I just leave it alone and hope it freezes so I can flood it?"

"You need 4 inches to stand or skate to be safe I always check by standing Slowly right at the corner as that the weakest place If it Breaks I push that piece of Ice back under the ice (or it will stick up and create a bump) You can then see how…"

"Fill it with the hose and calculate your costs, you might find it to be cheaper than $190. Then again, I'm in Chicago pulling from Lake Michigan where water is cheap."

Daniel robitaille replied to Kevin's discussion Filling the Rink
"My cost for a 25X50 rink run abut $300 for water from the hose. 4-8 inches of water I kown this as the wife yell at me in febraury each year."

Brian replied to Kevin's discussion Filling the Rink
"Use the hose and if your next door neighbor uses the rink use his as well. I fill a 40 x 60 rink each year with (2) hoses from (2) houses.  17 inches of water in one end and 4 inches in the other, takes about 24 hours."

Josh Shackelford replied to Kevin's discussion Filling the Rink
"For a rink that size I would use a hose. I think a hose always will make more sense if you have access to water.  Only two things a truck will win on are time and not having access to water."
