So unfortunately I was out of town when the storm hit the GTA on Wednesday.  Came back last night to an incredibly hard encrusted mix of frozen ice/snow on my rink.  No way would I be able to shovel…Continue

"If you can walk on it with out breaking just water it make a few small holes so the water get under it. You can try running water under it to turn the snow in to ice Or Let the kids skate on it it will break up or NOT I have the same issue going to…"

"We've been on a few times now, but it's been a PIA with all the warm weather and a leak somewhere in my liner.  Flooded it again last night but can't seem to make up much ground on the low areas.  As long as it's really…"

"Steve Don't give up the Kids are on it so it all good Use a mist setting on the hose will add layers without having to wait. just Clean will first and any bump will also build up a layer"

"Low pressure but want to add layers use a garden sprayer set on mist. this will create freezing rain and  will build a layer where ever it lands BUT  move the hose every 1/2 hour or you will build up a single area."

"Managed to get the kids out. Ice is a bit thin on one end but not an issue unless I skate on it. Kids were fine. Good weather tonight so went out a few more times today to keep adding a layer of water with the hose across the rink.  Darn cold…"

"With such low temps, I don't think a few small holes will prevent any ice building. If you have some snow, I would tightly pack it to the areas where you suspect the holes to be. I would add water in layers, frequency determined by temp and how…"

"Don't see being able to remove the liner or drain the water especially with Temps dropping to minus 9 today and staying at 0 and below the next several days. Warm weather may, finally, be done. Much of the ice is 2 to 4" or more thick.…"

"Hi Steve, It is still early for this season and I do not think your rink is ruined. Personally, from what you described,c I would drain the water, locate and repair all holes (or better yet ..replace your current liner with a new liner). With such…"
