the world's premiere online community for backyard ice rinks

i've installed 2 x 6 x 8 boards which I've done for years. this year I want to add 4 x 8 plywood boards after laying the plastic down. I don't want the plastic going over the 4 x 8 plywood. any ideas that won't compromise the integrity of the plastic?

Can you add the 4 x 8 plywood sheets on the outside perimeter of your rink? That way the liner would be sandwiched in between the 2x6 boards and the plywood.  Are you wanting to put up the 4x8 sheets all the way around the rink?

Hang the boards over the edge after the ice is in (sit on the ice) and brace. here is a drawing

Paint it White or the edge might burn in a bit.

For years I Ran a rope from one side to the other and hung lattice from he you can see it in my photo's
