I have the luxury of having a north facing backyard and the ice gets no sun through the winter months so I have had very little issue with the colours attracting heat over the years. All the lines and logos are hand painted on the ice with diluted acrylic outdoor paint from a hardware store. I lay my base ice and let the kids skate for a week to grind in the snow which helps give a good white canvas then I paint and water mist to lock in the paint then light floods until I have about 3/4 inch of ice over the logos.
How did you get the picture of Snoopy on the ice? Don't you worry about the sun burning holes in your ice because of teh colors of the picture? I wanted to put a BlakHawks Indianhead on mine two years ago but had problems with the sun burning holes. How do you deal with that?
