    Hi Karen, 

    Must be even worse with a a blue color tarp.  It probably heats up the ice a little sooner as opposed to white.

    Not surprising...mine looks a lot worse than that! It's 62F here today after temps in the 40's and 50's for the last 6 days and now it's raining, which is further melting  the ice that is left. In talking to many folks with rinks, I find that most of the seasons are over by the first of March. We plan a tear down the first week of March and are already planning for next year!
