  • Hey Tim, Go Blue!  great looking rink.  How is this year going for you?

  • Hey Matt, The 20x100 6 mil liner was $72.98 from Home Depot... Can only use it for one season, these things seem to get pretty trashed with shovel holes and skate tears. Thats mainly why I put up the puck boards to keep the kids away from the sides.
  • Tim, nice looking rink. I love the boards. How much did your 6-mil liner cost?  Thanks!
  • that's a pretty big rink.. it doesn't look 28 by 36..

    great looking tho!

  • Mike, I also use a 6 mil liner. I got it from Home Depot 20'x100' and splice it together with transparent duct tape on both sides and a bead of construction adhesive in between. Seams to work just fine.
  • Thanks Tim, is very peaceful, no neighbors within a 1/2 mile. plan on going bigger myself next year but need some major yard leveling first. I am using 6mil plastic for my liner, is that thick enough ?

  • I painted 1x4's with exterior gloss Safety Yellow and tacked them in place... That's it... At the seams I cut a piece of wood to hold them torsionally after they are installed. Really simple finished look... I just wonder how they will hold up for the rest of the season. We'll see I guess. They seem to take a puck really well. I also like the fact that they get scuffed up with puck marks...
  • Awesome Tim...the boards give the rink a finished look...great job...could you post how you made em...would luv to do the same for next year :)

  • Thanks Mike... The rink is 28' x 36'... Definatly want to go bigger next year. I like the width but the length is just not enough.
  • that is one sweet rink, how big ?
