This was taken just after I finished setting up the perimeter boards. I used 2" x 12" x 12' boards with the 'J' brace system from backyardrink.com. I also have rounded corners made with puck board from the same supplier that I install after the tarp. I don't put the tarp don or flood the rink until I know it will freeze. I don't want it to fill with leaves or dirt and i don't want the dog to get in and tear the tarp. I use a 12 mil tarp and I get a new one every year.
