61 degrees last Sunday, followed by 71, 75 and 61. Then snow last night resulting in snow and slush this morning. The slush actually helped as it allowed me to "shave" the ice as I shoveled. Fortunately, cold and cloudy all day which resulted in a really nice sheet of ice tonight. North boards has some thin ice that we had to avoid...80% of the rink was usable and very good. Happily surprised...the hard work paid off! More 50 and 60 degree days headed this way...I feel like I'm in a street fight with Mother Nature. Just hoping to squeeze as many skates out of the rink as possible.

Hi Tom. Glad you managed to get back on the ice again. Every time we unlace our skates in the back yard we never know if that might be the last skate until next year. Enjoy it why we can!
